Hobbit Diorama

I made this one for my brother as a Christmas gift. The diorama features Bilbo and Gollum in the caves of Misty Mountains. The Ring has just got itself a new keeper.

Medieval Civilians

By Wargames Foundry. Pretty quickly painted.

Scatha the Wurm

By Mithril Miniatures, still needing a bit of work.

New stuff: Alice, Dragon, civilians...

Some new additions from the last few months :) Dangnabit, it's just too much of a work to take a few pics after painting. So, without further ado, here's Alice of Hasslefree

This weekends projects

I managed to paint (and actually take pics of my little works) this weekend. Here's a small field and three carrot field guards (GW's Hobbit Bounders) + a small hill. However, I've been making mini things steadily, most of the stuff is just waiting to be photographed...

Dwarf Champion by GW

Jolie The Scribe

Here's a pic of my exchange mini in Reaper Forum's Spring '08 Exchange. It's Jolie the Scribe by Reaper Miniatures.

Dwarven Brewmeister and Patrons by Reaper Miniatures

Here's one of the three beer drinking dwarves. A nice little thing to paint, it was. The rest should be ready in a few weeks time.

Isabelle by Hasslefree

Here's Isabelle, a sweet (very) little nymph by Hasslefree Miniatures.

Ford AA Stakebed

Here's a Sloppy Jalopy's Ford AA that I painted recently. I had so much fun with it, I might have to get some more vehicles in the future.

Pulp Adventures!

We played our first pulp miniature game last night with my wife. We used Rattrap's .45 Adventure rules, which seemed out pretty simple and fast. Here's a short game report:

Marion Baker, a famous reporter and her sailor boyfriend Conrad Maltan (and their heroic dog, Jack) were trying to find a professor of native american lore, who might help them find an ancient treasure of the Iroquois. Someone else was also interested in finding the professor, as Marion had noticed that she was being followed often while doing her investigation. She found out that the professor had a farm in a remote location and soon, she and Conrad drove there just to realize that they had been followed by two thugs, obviously also looking for the professor.

The teams had three goals: Finding the professor and the two parts of his diary concerning information on the Iroquois treasure.

Marion and Conrad moved swiftly towards a shed in professor's yard, while the two thugs went for the mansion. Marion decided to take a look to professor's car and found him hiding in the backseat. Meanwhile Conrad checked out the shed, but didn't find parts of the diary there.

The thugs realized that Marion had found the professor and one of them moved quickly behind the car to give a few good shots at Marion later. The sharp reporter, however, jumped to the driver's seat and reversed on the thug who wounded his arms a bit and fell on the ground.

Meanwhile Conrad tried to locate the missing parts of the diary, but came out empty handed again. The other thug had more luck: he found one part in the mansion and soon the other in the well.

The wounded thug took a shot at professor's car with his pistol, but didn't do any harm. Marion let Jack the Dog out, who immediately leaped on the thug and bit his arms, growling horribly. The thug realized he was no match to this predator dog and ran away as fast as he could. Marion whissled Jack back to the car and drove to the other thug, breaking just a few yards before him. She tried to convince the thug that he wouldn't leave the place alive, if he didn't give the diary parts to them right away. Conrad tried to convince the crook in his own way, by shooting the thug in his chest. The thug, realizing his best interest, put down the parts of the book and threw away his gun, saying: "Sie might have won this round, aber wir sehen uns wieder!"

The heroes, with the professor and his diary, drove back to the city to solve the mystery of the Iroquois treasure and its location, however, with a creeping feeling in their backs as they now knew that someone else was after the treasure and that they were more than ready to make the race for it rough...

News! News!

Well, I'm going to try to refresh this blog a bit and maybe even try to post something semi-regularly.

I got a small packet from Hasslefree Miniatures today. It contained just three minis: Titania, the Queen of Fairies, Stalks and Debra.

Currently I'm working on too many projects: I've got really excited of pulp minis, then I've been working with a nice white clayish stuff of which I've been crafting walls, bridges, statues etc... I've also got on my desk the Fellowship of the Ring by Mithril Miniatures, several Reaper and Hasslefree minis and soon also some Lord of the Rings minis by GW & Star Wars miniatures by WotC... Phew, I'm going to be busy...
